What to expect

Our rock climbing and abseiling sessions will involve you wearing a helmet and harness which will be connected to a rope. This is to prevent you from falling making it is the safest form of rock climbing. Abseiling or rappelling is when you lower yourself down the rocks using a rope and an abseiling device, while it is a lot easier physically it can be more mentally taxing on those with a fear of heights.

As with every great adventure there is always going to be some level of risk involved and the outdoors is no exception. We do our best to mitigate these risks so it is important for you to listen to our instructors when given the safety brief. We want everyone to have fun on activity but safety is the priority. If someone is causing a safety risk to themselves or others they will be removed from the session.

Hazards include: Slips and trips, falling rocks and uneven ground.

Preventative measures : Helmets, appropriate footwear, clear instruction, safety brief and group management
